Microsoft Cloud PC Service

Cloud services are taking over the hardware capabilities to a more secured network of computing, ensuring feseability of storage and real-time access to huge amounts of data. From cloud gaming services to database linking for web development and further more advanced to unleash machine learning abilities, cloud computing has recently modified approaches to digital services.

Microsoft has been reportedly working on a "Cloud PC" service wherein they had declared a job description on June 5, 2020 as a program manager for Microsoft's Cloud PC team on their careers site. At the latest, WalkingCat on twitter has posted further details on the profiles that would be available for subscription.



Profiles have been segregated on the basis of virtual hardware systems offered as -

Medium Plan : 2 Virtual CPUs, 4GB RAM and 96 GB SSD,
Heavy Plan : 2 Virtual CPUs, 8GB RAM and 96 GB SSD,
Advanced Plan : 3 Virtual CPUs, 8GB RAM and 40 GB SSD,

Windows Virtual Desktop would improve scalability and provide multi-session experience for the users, while securing the desktop with in-built intelligent security services. Deployable in just few minutes, along with other Azure cloud services within the portal, such delivers enhanced Windows 10 experience for solutions optimized to be run anywhere by installing 'Microsoft Remote Desktop' on mobile devices as well as on personal computers.



A virtual PC enables availability of softwares without having the need to install separately as per the requirements, apart from providing better experience with the hardware acceleration services with enhanced SSD storages. At a job description for a Cloud PC program manager, it stated,


Microsoft Cloud PC is a strategic, new offering that is built on top of Windows Virtual Desktop to delivering Desktop as a Service. At its core, Cloud PC provides business customers a modern, elastic, cloud-based Windows experience and will allow organizations to stay current in a more simplistic and scalable manner

As a 'pay-as-you-go' product, Microsoft offers its Microsoft Managed Desktop (MMD) including services as - Windows 10 Enterprise E3, Office 365 ProPlus, Intune Windows Autopilot, Microsoft Threat Protection and many other intelligent cloud based solutions at the cheapest possible to be announced later in the spring of 2021.
